40 2001 chevy venture heater hose diagram

Engine runs normal (between C-H), AC normal. On heater fan blows at all speeds. On defrost at high the air gets slightly warmer. Coolant full. The hoses to the heater core are both hot. Side note at highest speed fan growls and vibrates. Thought I should mention that. TL:DR below So my neighbor had this car, and I figured I'd do a good deed for a nice older lady... She had a mobile mechanic come out three separate times, $150 minimum each time, trying to diagnose why the car wouldn't start or, on the rare occasion that it would, why it would not run for any period of time. He did all kinds of damage taking everything apart trying to find out what was going on. He's trying to diagnose fuel pressure, lack of spark, and everything under the sun. Long story shor...

99 Suburban 238k miles. The all the plastic junctions (plastic tee, heater hose valve, and plastic Y) at the heater hoses all failed. Left a lovely mess and almost had me stranded. Luckily I was able to pinch it off and limp home. I wanted to replace the plastic tee with a brass tee. All those plastic junctions completely disintegrated. I figured brass tee would last longer. wrong? Any issue with the heat from coolant?

I have 4 hoses in total, 2 are going to the ac. 1 hose is cut, when I pour coolant/water in the radiator water comes out through this cut hose. The other is just a hose by itself, idk where it gets connected 🤷🏽‍♂️. Please and thank you Reddit family. My transmission shifts fine when I do not have the heat on. When I turn the heat on after like 10 minutes or so the the heat starts to blow softly and my transmission starts slipping. What could be causing this? I think I have a heater core leak since it smells like coolant and stop-leak in the cabin. (Last owner put stop-leak in the vehicle). I looked it up and an article said the the 1995-2000 models would have coolant leak onto the carpet of the passenger side, however it did not specify whether this happened with 2001 models or later.
